This amplifier is essentially my Super 300B SET with several substantial differences. A pair of 6CG3 tube damper diodes provide much more current than standard rectifiers as well as a slow start delay for the high voltages. A massive 1 amp (1,000 milliamp) toroidal transformer provides more than ample current for the quad of 300Bs. Insterstage transformers are used to drive the 300Bs to maximum power without stressing the tubes and the power supply and all associated transformers are rated for double the current of my standard 300B amplifier.
