This stereo 300B amplifier is a bang for the buck performer using carefully selected parts to lower the price point and still deliver high performance. The power supply uses a hybrid rectifier with a 5U4GB and ultra fast recovery diodes, a massive choke to nullify ripple and high quality TDK electrolytic capacitors and Vishay resistors. Well filtered DC is used for the filaments of the 300B, and a 6SL7 input stage DC coupled to a 6SN7 cathode follower to drive the grids of the power triodes. Dead silent at idle and plenty of current to deliver 8 watts per channel make this an excellent performer!
